This exceptional handmade Persian carpet is a true Kashan, named after the historic city of Kashan in central Iran. For centuries, Kashan’s master weavers have earned an outstanding reputation for producing some of the finest handmade carpets in the world, celebrated for their superb craftsmanship and endlessly varied, intricate designs.

Due to this prestige, Kashan-inspired designs are widely reproduced in India, China, and Pakistan, as well as within Iran in regions such as Ardakan and Yazd. These versions are typically priced around 25% lower than authentic Kashan rugs, reflecting the premium value of an original piece.

This remarkable, fine-quality carpet bears the woven signature of the master craftsman in all four corners of the design. The signature reads “Kashan Mobini” (woven in Persian), identifying the respected weaver Mobini — a detail that enhances both its authenticity and collectible appeal.

Woven around 1960, the carpet remains in outstanding condition. It presents beautifully, with no damage or stains, and looks remarkably fresh for its age.
