If your handmade rug gets weft as the result of a pipe leak or any other way, immediately, try to stop water to spread to the dry area, remove the water with a spoon or a bowel or a plate as much as possible, then try to remove more water with a white towel as much as possible. Never use a hair drier to dry a handmade rug. After removing water as much as possible then if it is possible leave it open outside in the access of sun, if not keep it open in a warm room until it dries.
