Handmade Persian Rug

This hand-knotted Persian Kashan rug takes its name from the historic city of Kashan, an ancient centre of carpet weaving located in central Iran, approximately 240 km south of Tehran. For centuries, Kashan has built a worldwide reputation for producing high-quality handmade Persian carpets, admired for their fine craftsmanship and elegant designs. Due to this reputation, Kashan patterns are often copied in other countries such as China, India, and Pakistan, but authentic Persian Kashan rugs remain highly valued.

This rug is hand-knotted with a pure fine wool pile and a cotton weft, woven with a high knot density that ensures both durability and refined detail. It features a beautiful overall arabesque floral design, a classic style associated with traditional Kashan carpets.

Although the rug is approximately 50 years old, it remains in excellent condition, retaining its quality and appearance. Prior to import, the rug was professionally cleaned to ensure it is ready for immediate use.

This rug has been imported by Heaven on Earth Imports, and a copy of the Certificate of Origin issued by the Chamber of Commerce will be provided to confirm its authenticity at the time of import.
