Handmade Persian Gabbeh Rug

This beautiful hand-knotted Persian Gabbeh rug is made in Fars Province in southern Iran, a region renowned for its traditional tribal weaving. The rug is crafted from 100% pure fine wool with natural dyes, giving it both durability and a rich, authentic character.

It features a simple, modern design, making it a versatile piece that fits well with both contemporary and traditional interiors.

Gabbeh rugs are unique because they are usually woven without a pre-drawn pattern. Instead, the weavers create their designs from memory, creativity, and inspiration, often reflecting the natural surroundings, animals, and daily life of the tribal communities who produce them. This process gives every Gabbeh rug its own distinctive character and artistic charm, making each piece truly one of a kind.

Gabbeh-style rugs are also produced in China, Pakistan, India, and parts of northeastern Iran. However, rugs made in Fars Province are generally considered higher quality, which is reflected in their value and craftsmanship.
