Persian Handmade Carpet

A classic design hand-knotted Persian Carpet, known as Kashan that refers to the area where it is made. Kashan is one of the main handmade carpets and rugs producers in Iran and has achieved a very good reputation for over centuries for producing hard wearing fine density handmade carpets and rugs with unlimited verity of designs.

The design is known as classic medallion with arabesque and floral motif. This design is about 400 years old, from the time of Safavid dynasty governing Persia. The king Shah Abas safavi was very interested in arts.

It matches nicely with the Victorian houses.

This beautiful intricate handmade carpet is made of fine pure wool pile and cotton weft.
