Handmade Persian Runner

This beautiful hand-knotted Persian Turkman runner takes its name from the region where it is traditionally crafted. Turkman Sahra, located in the northeast of Iran, is one of the main centres for producing authentic handmade Persian carpets and rugs.

Turkman rugs are well known for their simple yet striking geometric patterns, fine-quality materials, and exceptional durability. They are valued for being hardwearing, long-lasting, and suitable for everyday use, while maintaining the beauty of traditional Persian craftsmanship.

The main design of this runner features seven rectangular panels, each displaying some of the most popular traditional Turkman motifs. These include the Camel Foot motif (often referred to in the West as the Elephant Foot, commonly seen in Indian and Pakistani rugs), along with the Fence, Windvane, and Mirror motifs. Together, these patterns create a distinctive and culturally meaningful design that is characteristic of Turkman weaving.

This runner is made from 100% pure fine wool, giving it both softness and durability. It is brand new and has been carefully imported by Heaven on Earth Imports.

For authenticity and peace of mind, we provide a copy of the Certificate of Origin issued by the Chamber of Commerce at the time of import, confirming that this runner is a genuine Persian handmade rug.
