This hand-knotted Persian rug is known as Qum, that refers to where it is made. Qum is the name of a city in the central part of Iran. Qum handmade rugs are well-known for top quality, high density of knots, intricate patterns, hardwearing and long lasting.

It is brand new, imported by “Heaven on Earth Imports”. We provide you with a certificate of origin issued by the Chamber of Commerce to assure you it is original authentic Persian.

It is made of pure kurk (lamb wool) for pile and cotton weft.

It has got 324 knots per square inch, it is 58 inches by 40 inches = 2320 square inches so the total number of knots is: 2320 x 324 = 751680 for this sort of pattern, A craftsman or craftswomen can manage to weave around 600-700 knots per hour so it means to takes more than 1000 hours to make this rug, of course, time to spend to make the loom, dye the material and drawing and colouring the design is not included.
