This hand-knotted Persian rug is made in the area of Kashan. Kashan is an ancient city in the central part of Iran. Kashan has achieved a very good reputation for producing fine quality handmade rugs for over centuries. Copy of Kashan designs is produced in India, Pakistan and China and price wise they are much cheaper than original Kashan; Copy of Kashan design is produced in an another town   in Iran called Ardekan Yazd.

This beautiful rug is made of pure wool and some silk and cotton weft.
