Handmade Persian Rug

This beautiful, fine-quality Persian rug is crafted in the northeastern region of Persia, specifically in an area known as Turkman Sahra. Its design, commonly referred to in the West as “Elephant Foot,” is actually known as “Camel Foot,” reflecting the significance of camels in the lives of the people who create these rugs. The design also incorporates motifs of birds and ram horns within the camel foot. As seen in the photo gallery, this rug is of very dense quality, made from fine hand-tufted wool.

With a knot density of 324 knots per square inch, the rug measures 70 inches by 53 inches, covering a total area of 3,710 square inches. The total knot count is 1,202,040.

This rug is brand new and imported by “Heaven on Earth Imports.” While this design is also produced in Pakistan and India, the Persian version is typically of higher quality and priced accordingly.
