This beautiful hand-knotted Persian Turkman rug takes its name from the Turkman Sahra region in north-eastern Iran, one of the main centres of traditional Persian carpet weaving. Turkman rugs are celebrated for their simple, elegant patterns, fine-quality materials, and exceptional durability, making them hard-wearing and long-lasting.

This rug features the classic elephant foot design, also known as the camel foot motif, which reflects the vital role camels played in the daily life and culture of the Turkman tribes. While similar motifs appear in rugs from Pakistan, India, China, and Afghanistan, this piece is an authentic Persian original, hand-knotted from 100% pure fine wool.

The rug is brand new and imported by Heaven on Earth Imports. A copy of the Certificate of Origin issued by the Chamber of Commerce is provided, confirming its authenticity as a genuine Persian handmade rug.
