This handmade Persian rug is known as Ardebil that refers to the area where it is made. Ardebil is the name of a province in the north west of Iran. Ardebil rugs are very hardwearing and long lasting. There is an Ardebil carpet in Victoria and Albert museum in London and it is nearly 500 years old.

This rug is made around 1960-70 and although it is around 55 years old it is in a perfect condition; nothing has happened to it and it looks like new. It is made of wool and silk on cotton weft. It is imported by “Heaven on Earth Imports.
