Handmade Persian Rug

This beautiful hand-knotted Persian Kashan rug takes its name from the historic city of Kashan, where it was originally crafted. Kashan, located in central Iran approximately 240 km south of Tehran, has been renowned for producing some of the finest handmade Persian rugs for centuries. Due to their outstanding reputation and quality, Kashan designs are widely copied in countries such as China, India, and Pakistan.

This authentic vintage Kashan rug, estimated to be around 60 years old, is woven with a pure fine wool pile on a durable cotton foundation. Despite its age, the rug remains in excellent condition and looks almost like new, reflecting the exceptional craftsmanship and durability typical of traditional Persian rugs. The design is rare and highly collectible, making it a wonderful addition for collectors or those seeking a unique statement piece.
