Handmade Persian Gabbeh Rug

This cheerful hand-knotted Persian Gabbeh rug is crafted in the Fars province in southern Iran, a region well known for its rich tradition of tribal rug weaving. Made from 100% pure wool and naturally dyed, this rug offers both warmth and durability while showcasing the beauty of authentic Persian craftsmanship.

With a pile thickness of approximately 8 mm, the rug has a soft, comfortable feel underfoot while remaining strong and hardwearing.

Gabbeh rugs are unique because they are usually woven without a pre-drawn pattern. Instead, the weavers create their designs from memory, creativity, and inspiration, often reflecting the natural surroundings, animals, and daily life of the tribal communities who make them.
