This handmade Persian runner comes from the village of Hosseinabad, located in the west of Iran — a region well known for producing durable and practical runners with traditional designs. Hosseinabad rugs are typically hand-knotted using high-quality wool and cotton foundations and are prized for their longevity and everyday performance.
Woven with a pure wool pile on a sturdy cotton weft, this runner has retained its soft wool pile despite being around 50 years old. It remains in good condition, with natural character and texture that only age can bring. Please note that the border at one end is missing, adding to its vintage charm.
