This exceptional hand-knotted Persian rug is crafted in the historic city of Qom, located in central Iran. Qom rugs are internationally renowned for their superior quality, high knot density, and intricate, refined patterns, combining beauty with durability and lasting value.

This rug features an elaborate medallion-centered design, richly adorned with floral motifs and flowing arabesques, showcasing the precision and artistry for which Qom weaving is celebrated.

With a density of 289 knots per square inch and measuring 60 × 42 inches (2,520 square inches), this rug contains an impressive 728,280 individual knots. Given that a skilled craftsman can weave approximately 600 knots per hour, it would take around 1,213 hours to complete the weaving alone — not including the additional time required to prepare the loom, dye the materials, and carefully design and color the pattern.
