Hand-knotted Persian Rug

Dimensions

This exquisite hand-knotted Kashan Persian rug takes its name from Kashan, an ancient city in central Iran located approximately 240 km south of Tehran. For centuries, Kashan has been renowned for producing some of the world’s finest handmade carpets, celebrated for their intricate designs, exceptional durability, and lasting beauty.

At approximately 100 years old, this piece qualifies as a genuine antique Persian rug. It remains in very good condition for its age and retains its fine wool pile. Over time, the natural vegetable dyes have matured into beautifully softened, settled tones, enhancing its authentic character. Subtle abrash (natural color variation), visible in the third photo, adds depth and uniqueness—an admired feature in antique rugs.

The rug has been professionally washed prior to import and is ready for immediate use.

Material:

• Pure, fine wool pile
